After a long drive up from Mammoth we are finally in Oregon with nice weather. All summer long we at snowrev will be keeping you in the loop about what's going on up here at Mt. Hood. So here's a little taste on what things might look like and how this summer season has started out.
Today Scott Blum and I started out our day at Windells snowboard camp with some free breakfast then up to Timberline. Met some of our other friends up there and cruised all around the mountain. Now, I've been coming up to Hood for the past ten years and have never seen so much snow to make for an amazing summer with top to bottom runs for a long time to come. You could even ride all the way to Government camp if you wanted. The park staff this at T-line has made the public parks on point with a good four pack of booters. Plenty of fun rails the whole run down, a perfect halfpipe, and a boardercross course in the making that looks like it will be so fun to dip into with some of your buds.
Then having spent all day snowboarding at Timberline and headed to Charlie's in Govy to get some food and a few frosty pints. Somebody there had told us about Skibowl having a rope tow and it was closing that day so we headed down there and met up with Matty-Mo and some other dudes and it was on.
After a few safety meetings in the parking lot we got there to find some fun box lines and little quarterpipe. Scott and Matty were shredding all the features hard, especially when they were transferring from the one section of the quarter into the wall ride pulling some good moves. So after a really long day we jumped back in the car for a little rest and will be back up at the mountain all summer long showing all you viewers what's going on with the camps, riders, the mountain, and just how summers are spent here how much fun it is. So keep checking more updates here at Hood.
