Sierra-At-Tahoe® Resort Offers $20 Tickets On Closing Day
Customer Appreciation Day (or “Pirate Day”) Continues at South Shore ’s Local’s Resort
South Lake Tahoe, Calif. – Avast there matey! The sun is setting over the yardarm of this winter season! Arrrghhhhh!
Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort will uphold its 14-year tradition by hosting “Customer Appreciation Day” on the final day of winter operations for the season, April 21, 2008. Skiers and riders of all ages can purchase a lift ticket for $20 and bid farewell to Sierra™ Resort until the snow flies next season. In support of a grassroots movement that began among Sierra Resort passholders a few years ago, all guests are encouraged to dress as pirates on the final day.
Sierra Resort will operate a limited number of lifts from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Last call at the Sierra Pub will be at 2:45 p.m., in time for the cessation of all winter operations at 3:00 p.m. All guests will be parking in the Coyote and Deer lots.
All of the proceeds raised from the day’s lift ticket sales will be donated to sponsor local sports teams including South Lake Tahoe High School’s baseball, softball, basketball and football teams, as well as High Sierra Soccer League, to name a few.
Ever since Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort was founded in 1993, it has hosted Customer Appreciation Day in order to give something back to the community that so generously supports the resort throughout the winter season.
“Customer Appreciation Day is all about saying thank you. We want to show our most loyal guests that we value this community and are willing to support year round recreational opportunities for our kids,” said John Rice, General Manager of Sierra Resort. “We also encourage all of our guests to be responsible on this day and to continue to show respect for both our environment up here at the resort and for all of the guests enjoying one final day on the slopes.”
