Mountain Creek To Host Z100 Snowplow Luau & Pond Skimming And Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series

Vernon, NJ – Mountain Creek invites you to the annual spring skiing and riding celebration featuring the Z100 Snowplow Luau and Pond Skimming and Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series on Saturday, March 8th.

There’s still snow on the ground, but barbeques never take an off season at Mountain Creek! Come out and take part in the festivities that include a pig roast, other BBQ specials, frozen drinks and fire dancing! After lunch, make your way over to Mountain Creek’s man-made skimming pond where participants will try their luck at making it all the way across on their skis or snowboards! Wear what you feel comfortable getting wet in, as some may not be fortunate enough to make it completely across. Keep in mind, costumes aren’t mandatory, but are certainly appreciated by the judges. Registration is required and begins at 11a.m. and the event will begin at noon. The festivities will continue with an awesome Luau party in the Hex Bar featuring the return of Z100's DJ Romeo.

On Saturday, March 8th, Mountain Creek will also host the USASA supported Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series. This event will feature the slopestyle finals for all of the riders who are aiming to increase their point totals towards the 2008 USASA Nationals held at Northstar in Tahoe, California. All ages and abilities are welcomed and encouraged to compete, but all competitors must be a USASA member.  Memberships can be processed during registration, and temporary memberships are available for first time USASA competitors.  Onsite registration begins at 7:30am, and there is room for only 120 competitors so make sure you sign up early!
