Squaw Valley & Standard Films Present the 2nd Annual Hatchett Brothers' 80's Metal Bash Saturday, March 29
Tickets On Sale NOW!
[Squaw Valley USA] - The word on the street is that the Hatchett Brothers' 80's Metal Bash featuring FORTRESS is slated to be the party of the year - once again. Last year, snowboard film legends, Mike and Dave Hatchett celebrated their birthday at the Olympic Village Lodge with their band FORTRESS and special guests featuring metal royalty put on a baller concert for 500 of their closest friends. The party was such a hit (herald as, "the sickest party ever" by many a guest), Standard Films and Squaw Valley decided to make it an annual bash, open to the public. The date is set for March 29, 2008, so transport yourself back to the days when 80's metal ruled, and come enjoy the show.
The concert extraordinaire takes place Saturday, March 29 at the Olympic Village Lodge. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 9 pm. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door, and are on sale now at Porter’s in Tahoe City and Truckee (cash only) and The North Face Store in Squaw Valley.
Formed by snowboard film pioneers Mike and Dave Hatchett, FORTRESS has been delivering explosive performances of original and cover music for nearly twenty years. Songs include covers from Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and originals inspired by these bands. "If you like metal, Fortress will bang your head!"
Fronting the band is Jeff Martin from Racer X and Whitfield Crane from Ugly Kid Joe. Together their vocal talents will shatter your beer mug. On the evening of Saturday, March 29 FORTRESS members Mike and Dave Hatchett (guitar) will be joined by local luminaries Matt Reardon (singer/songwriter) and Shane Anderson (vocals), and a slew of other guest musicians including Klaus Eichstadt from Ugly Kid Joe and Jimmy Degrasso, formerly of Megadeth.
Squeeze into your tightest leather pants and dust off your hair-crimper because 80's attire is strongly advised. Prizes go to the best 80's metal rockers, so dress to impress and make sure your digs pass the test.
Tickets for the Hatchett's 80's Metal Bash are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are on sale now at Porter’s in Tahoe City and Truckee (cash only) and The North Face Store in Squaw Valley. Tickets are limited, so act fast. Partygoers must be 21 & up.
