Sunrise Service is Followed by Egg Hunt and Brunch

Snowbird, Utah – Easter gets an early start Sunday, March 23, at Snowbird with a free Sunrise Service on Hidden Peak. The festivities continue at 9 a.m. with the annual free children’s Easter Egg Hunt on the Chickadee run.

The non-denominational Sunrise Service on Hidden Peak begins at 7:17 a.m. Free Tram rides to the service begin at 5:50 a.m. with the last Tram departing the Snowbird Center at 7:05 a.m. Should weather not cooperate, the service will be held on the Snowbird Center Plaza Deck or in the nearby Alpine Room. Complimentary coffee and hot chocolate will be served. Early-morning UTA bus service is available in time for the Sunrise Service.

The free Easter Egg Hunt for children up to 11 years of age takes place on the Chickadee run and features the Easter Bunny. The hunt begins at 9 a.m. and participants should meet on the Plaza Deck. Children should bring their own baskets.

Easter Brunch will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Atrium Restaurant and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Aerie Restaurant, both located in Snowbird’s Cliff Lodge. Easter breakfast at Snowbird includes a full breakfast menu at the Forklift restaurant on the Snowbird Plaza Deck from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Deals enabling skiers and riders to enjoy Snowbird’s great conditions and many events include the $279 Spring Pass and the Late Season "Spring Ski" lodging package. The $279 Spring Pass is valid beginning May 31, 2008 through Snowbird’s closing date. Snowbird offers the longest ski and snowboard season in Utah and plans to operate through May, conditions permitting. To purchase the spring pass or for more information contact Snowbird Tickets at (801) 933-2200. The Spring Ski Package is valid April 5-30, 2008, and includes a minimum of three days of skiing and three nights of lodging for rates starting at $99 per person, per day, based on double occupancy. Breakin' on through to Mineral Basin after a ride through Snowbird's Peruvian Tunnel. The new Peruvian Express chairlift and tunnel have been a huge success this season.
