On Thursday February 21st, the Burton Snowboards and Channel Islands Surfboards LA flagship store held its first Ladies Shopping Night.
From 6 to 9 pm, more then 200 women snowboarders, surfers and tastemakers gathered in the new Burton and Channel Islands space on Melrose Avenue. The night included shopping, fun and more, with extra special elements such as live music by DJ Sara T., a hot chocolate and candy bar, snow flake martinis, savory bites and cup cakes.
Burton also had a professional “winter wonderland” photo shoot station, where guests received a souvenir photo from the night.
Fourty Burton Shop girls from around southern California made the journey in style, arriving in limos courtesy of the Big Dreams crew, and joined us to help spread the stoke about Burton and snowboarding. Also in attendance were representatives from Boarding For Breast Cancer (B4BC) to raise awareness about their programs and events.
Throughout the evening, the hosts raffled off snowboarding gear, including a jacket, goggles and luggage, and a grand prize of a full set up. The first 100 customers left with exclusive Burton gift bags which included the official Burton LA tee, a pair of thermal socks, Anon sunscreen and more.
The night was a great success as guests were stoked to hang out with other cool girls who ride and surf, and to discover Burton’s women’s specific products.
