Attitash Launches into March Mania
Every Friday in March lift tickets only $39, outdoor live entertainment and signature events Bartlett, NH – Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire is launching into Spring with a full line-up of events, aprčs ski entertainment and a special Friday ticket deal in March. Attitash is offering a $39 lift ticket price every Friday in March to kick off each weekends’ festivities. The Spread Eagle World Championship will take place on Saturday, March 15. The spectator friendly event is a competition where athletes flashback to the early days of freestyle skiing when neon, straight skis and old style stunts were the sight. Competitors clad in their one-piece day glow suits will showcase their best old-school tricks like Daffys, Spread Eagles and Twisters off a big air jump near the base of Attitash. The retro weekend is not just for ski jumpers but anyone who is nostalgic for the 70’s & 80’s who wants to come out and boogie to the “shagtastic” sounds of the 70’s cover band, Motor Booty Affair. Guests are also invited to arrive in their best retro attire (including fro) to participate in the Best Retro Outfit contest. Winner takes home a peace ring and a special Atti-fro. The mania continues the following weekend, March 22, when the 15th Annual Attitash Open On-Snow Golf Tournament tee’s off on the White Horse trail. Costume clad teams of four will drive, putt and wedge their way down the nine-hole course on skis or snowboards. The goal is to reach the “10th hole”, the Attitash base lodge deck, where reggae band, Jah Spirit, will be jamming out their “ska groove” sounds on the snow stage. Attitash caps off the month on Saturday, March 29 with the Mullet Mogul Rock Jam weekend which will include the 15th Annual Grand Stand Mogul Jam. Competitors will amp up to compete in a dual mogul course set-up on Grandstand before rockin’ out to the Aerosmith cover band Draw the Line and the up-and-coming band Aranda. Mullets not required but preferred. Best Mullet wins a set of drum sticks, an autographed air guitar and a $25 gift certificate to Kentucky Fried Chicken.
