THE WORLD'S BEST FEMALE SNOWBOARDERS COME TOGETHER AT MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN FOR THE 2008 ROXY CHICKEN JAM PRESENTED BY SCHICK® QUATTRO FOR WOMEN®

Contest Postponed Until Tomorrow Due to Weather: Event Will Reconvene Saturday for Superpipe Main Event and Mascot Superpipe Challenge

Mammoth Lakes, Calif. (March 28, 2008) - The fourth annual Roxy Chicken Jam presented by Schick® Quattro for Women® was scheduled to start today but was put on hold due to weather. Snowy and windy conditions kept athletes and organizers on standby for the first half of the morning until the official call was made to put the contest on hold until Saturday morning.

The three-day all-women's professional snowboard contest is the final six-star event of the Swatch Ticket to Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour and will name the 2008 TTR World Tour Champion. Bringing together more than 50 invited pros and 60 aspiring amateurs from around the world, the Roxy Chicken Jam is the biggest and most popular all-women's professional snowboard event in the world. Athletes will compete in slopestyle and superpipe for more than $150,000 in prize money, which includes the Swatch TTR World Tour $110,000 prize purse and coveted TTR World Tour Title.

Despite snowy conditions today, the girls withstood the gusty winds and hit the course hard for a few practice rounds, anxious to show their style and claim a spot in the main event.  Today's postponement will move the superpipe qualifiers to tomorrow morning and the slopestyle qualifiers to Sunday. Invitees arrived today including Roxy team-rider and 2008 US Open Slopestyle Champion Kjersti Buaas, current TTR World No. 2, Jaime Anderson, Roxy Chicken Jam defending Superpipe Champion Manuela Pesko and Roxy team-rider, 2008 US Open Superpipe Champion and current TTR World No. 1, Torah Bright.

The Roxy Chicken Jam will convene tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. for practice runs followed by the Superpipe qualifiers. The top five finishers from the qualifying round will advance to compete alongside the invited pros in the Superpipe Main Event and a chance to compete in the Finals for the Superpipe title crown and $20,000 prize purse. Tomorrow will also bring together mascots of all shapes, kinds and sizes for the first-ever Mascot Superpipe Challenge presented by ROCKSTAR Energy Drink. The infamous Roxy chicken has challenged all willing mascots for a superpipe showdown, winner take all $4,000 cash prize. An additional $1,000 will be awarded to the best mascot costume.

After the sun sets tomorrow, riders, fans and event staff will gather at the Mammoth Village for a special Roxy Chicken Jam party and concert with the Silversun Pickups and Alberta Cross. The Roxy Chicken Jam and the concert are free and open to the public.
