Vancouver's Premiere snowboarding event
On March 28 and 29th, 2008 come up and watch top international and local snowboard talent competing for $20K in cash. If you were at last year's event, you know that you can't miss it. The weekend consists of Friday Amateur qualifying open to anyone, the Invitational Friday Night Jib Session, Saturday Park Session, and the Coors Light Afterparty on Saturday night.
What :
The Quiksilver Showdown Over the City is Grouse Mountain’s annual Pro-Am contest. This premier end of season event is the largest contest-style winter snow sport event in Vancouver.
With over 100 riders competing throughout the course of the weekend, Quiksilver Showdown Over the City brings together internationally recognized pro riders and top up and coming amateur athletes.
The contest will take place over the course of two days with the amateur qualifier on Friday March 28th and the contest on Saturday, March 29th. Both days will conclude with award ceremonies and après festivities.

Who:
Athletes: An elite list of international and local pro riders as well as top up and coming amateur riders will be in attendance. This list includes the Grouse Mountain Pro Team and members from the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC teams. Judges: For both Friday and Saturday a judging panel will be critiquing the riders.
