For the first time the event will be held on 2 different locations with 2 different setups:
Main Event / Slopestyle Contest: As always, the slopestyle Contest will take place in the Boarders Playground Funpark on the mountain. The Pro Park will be reshaped to fullfill todays the expectations of international slopestyle contest. This year the Rookies will be set in the foreground. 40 youngbloods get the chance on Saturday to qualify for the Fianls on Sunday, where they can battle with the Pro´s. Best Rookie will get the first wildcard for the Wängl Tängl 2009. The Pro´s will compete with some of the Rookies for some nice Prizemoney, the Ä Special Awards and even 3 more wildcards for the Wängl Tängl 2009.
Side Event / Bag Jump session – Freestyle for everybody: Besides the snowboard contest in the boarders playground Funpark , there will be a BAG JUMP session on Saturday night on the Skiwiese. The worlds biggest free-standing AIR BAG will be installed for the Public and the Pro´s. According to this years Motto: freestyle for everybody, All those motivated and skilled snowboarder or freeskier can try it out with no risk of injury. This Air Bag gives you the unique chance to try out some crazy freestyle manouvers without getting hurt.
Parties
Besides all the freestyle action , also the Partypeople will get a guaranteed satisfaction. What would be a Shred Down without the appropriate Musicacts.
Saturday: On Saturday evening, at the BAG JUMP session on the Skiwiese ,you will be able to listen to some awesome hiphop tunes by D.J. Emodee. At the BAG JUMP Afterparty in der Karat Bar you can listen to the skills of the AUDIOHEADZ, which is a great local Rockband.
Sunday: The Contestparty in the Alpenrosensaal is known way beyound austrian borders. The Creme de la Creme of the austrian hip hop und D.J. Szene is performing at this Party every year. Last year we had nobody less than the austrian hiphop group TEXTA live on stage. This year, D.J. Beware who is well known from the austrian cult rasio station FM4, will tear the place apart with his famous mash-up mixes and you can be truly courious what the Ästhetiker and the Shredheadz will have planned for you on this easter weekend in Westendorf.
Start: Saturday, March 29 from 1 PM – to 5 PM / Registration on location. From 6 PM – to 9 PM the Pro´s will have their go for the ultimate show.
