Saturday, October 13th 2007. Donner Summit, CA., -- Boreal Mountain Resort. Winner takes all Chas Guldemond brings home the roll of cash at the third Annual Boreal Jibassic Pro Invitation Rail Jam.

That's right, it all went down this past weekend up a Boreal  Mountain. 300 cubic feet of snow was trucked in for the third annual Jibassic event.  Everything started up at 2 p.m. with the open public Jib session, tons of companies posted up their tents and the afternoon went off.  As the sun began to dip and temps lowered tons of people started showing up (it was dark but I say at least a thousand or so). The huge bonfire fire was lit and the premier's started.  First up some ski movie followed by
David Benedek's Blank Paper Productions "In Short" on the huge jumbo tron screen.  We showed up just in time to catch the last of the movie set up our gear and the rail jam was on.

Pretty much same exact set up as last year a 30 stair scaffold with two down boxes on the either edge, kinked box with side bar rails and a down bar in the middle followed by the 69 special school bus stall.
At 8:15 on the dot the snowboarders battled it out, while having to share the set up with a bunch of Skiers.  This was pretty lame but it was entertaining to watch the two planker's getting broke off, nutted backwards, skies flying off and multiple stair massages.  Back to real action, straight from the start it was clear a battle was going down between Chas Guldemond, Mike Casanova, Scott Vine and Johnny Lazzareschi.  These four guys were the most consistent all night moving from rail to box and trying to one up each other.  Casanova started with the kink front boarding in a few tries getting a hundo for landing it first and multi switch tricks on the down bar. Scotty Vine was working his way from one side to the other with 270's, a switch back lip and other combo's while Johnny Lazz was pulling some sick 270 combos and gaps down the kink box.  Chas Guldemond was getting pumping and had his game face one noticeably charging every obstacle with more speed and force than the rest.  He sealed the deal with a huge 5050 gap back 180 to flat on the kinked box and multiple 270's combos on the down bar and stalls on the special school bus.  The 35 minute Jam ended and a fast call by the Judges in a Winner takes format all Chas Guldemond held it down going home that night 3,000 dollars in hand.  If there was a 2nd and 3rd I would give it to young Johnny Lazz for 2nd and tie between Casanova and Scotty Vine for 3rd.

Riders included: Chas Guldemond, Mike Casanova, Scott Vine,
Nick Visconti, Johnny Lazzareschi, Chad Tarbell, Zak Shelhamer, Brandon Cocard, John Foy, Jake Davine, Nico Cioffi, Ben Bogart, Johnny Brady and more.
