On Saturday the second Swiss stop of the Burton AM Tour took place in Les Crosets. Thereby the national snowboard youngbloods met strong foreign competitors.
Les Crosets, in the Swiss-French winter resort Portes du Soleil, hosted last weekend the eleventh stop of the Burton AM Tour 2007/08, a pan-European snowboard competition series for youngbloods. Under beautiful springlike conditions 40 competitors showed their best to impress crowd and judges. Stage for the spectacle was the Superpark, maintained by former pro snowboarders and containing different jumps and other features.
The only Swiss winner was Tiziana Casutt (15) from Falera, she made it to the first place in the Junior Girls category. After her Manon Fiorot (18) from France and Anna Podgorna (19) from Poland got second and third. The best female rider out of all was the only 15-year-old Alicia Bonnaud from France. Besides winning the Kid Girls category she also became female overall winner of the competition. Furthermore she keeps on leading the AM Tour Overall Ranking which is comparing the best four results of the riders out of the whole Tour. The second of the Kid Girls was Enya Beutler (14) from Trin.
The Boys categories were dominated by Dutch guys. Steve Krijbolder (16) with the best trick of the day, a Cab 7 Indy Grab on the biggest kicker, not just won the Junior Boys category, but also was the overall winner of all boys. Second got the French rider Niels Schack (15) and the best Swiss in this category was David Djité (15) on the third place. Gino Rupp (14) won the younger, the Kid Boys category. The Swiss Lucas Baume (12) was second and Quentin Bernal (15) from France became third.

About Burton AM Tour
The third edition of the Burton AM Tour consists of 19 events in 15 different European countries. Kids between 8 and 20 years can compete for great material prizes and guaranteed starting slots at the Burton European Open - Europes biggest snowboard competition. On top the Main Sponsor Suzuki provides two Quad Bikes for both Junior Tour Champions. The Burton AM Tour is part of the TTR (Ticket to Ride) World Snowboard Tour. Therewith at every event useful points for the TTR Ranking can be won.
